This one might take the edge off a lil' bit. Promo vid, footage shot at the first live gig they did in Los Angeles.

Ha; fair enough.  Neither of the duo involved are *actually* into recreational pharmaceuticals; they're just emulating the '90s Techno thing, complete with "consciousness expanding" theme.  It's a vaild gripe, though; I won't begrudge you that.

To finish the previous discussion. Drugs have no place in any music scene.

My biggest gripe with the EDM scene right now is the glorification of E. IF you need drugs to enjoy the music get the fuck out. IMO

...that's been going on *since* the '90s, though. There's always been that segment of the EDM scene that equate it with E, or whatever else might be popular at the time.

I think it's only as much of an issue as it is, because the f?!k-ups in the scene are the most visible, and are usually the ones that garner all the bad press that gets associated with the rest of the scene.

...in all honesty, I wouldn't care about the E-tards or any of those kids at all, if they WEREN'T so godd@mn visible.

Dunno if you heard about the drug ODs that happened at EDC Los Angeles last year? Cast the whole EDM scene in Los Angeles in a bad light as a result.

If people wanna do drugs, thats their issues.
But a whole genre of music pushing the idea makes me sick.
I agree with you, if you need to do drugs to enjoy yourself, gtfo.
HOWEVER people who keep the genre of "doing drugs" alive are just as bad as the people telling others to do drugs.
