Oh my god kid... You posted a Lasers image? I never said anything bad about Lupe, and when are you going to learn that I don't like Lil Wayne? I have stated that 2 times already, this is the third, but he has done more than B.O.B will ever do.. cool that he can state hes a goody, I respect him for that, but his lyrics are terrible and if you compare them to Waynes you're a dumbass
Okay, let me break this down for you...
Example:
Lil' Wayne - Blunt Blowin'
I live it up like these are my last days (stupid line that goes into all bad rappers songs)
If time is money, I’m an hour past paid (blah blah blah money)
Ughh, gunpowder in my hourglass (blah blah blah guns)
Niggas faker than some flour in a powder bag (haters/guns)
Yeah, I put it down like my hands hurting (guns)
I’m on a natural high, but I land perfect (something about being high on life? I dont understand the land perfect part at all)
Some of us are lovers, most of y’all haters (haters)
But I put up a wall, and they just wallpaper (haters)
So love or hate me, I stay hate-free (blah blah blah im a peaceful rapper)
They say we learn from mistakes, that’s why they mistake me (stupid line that is put into a stupid song)
I got some weight on my shoulders, to me it’s like feathers (makes no sense)
All hail Weezy, call it bad weather (talking about himself and how he is the best)
I stick to the script, I memorize the lines (i honestly have no idea what he is saying)
Cause life is a movie that I’ve seen too many times (apparently he has died and came back to life? or maybe from seeing other people die? anyways, thats a somewhat "good" line)
You’re on the outside looking in, close the blinds (hater reference)
And they say never say never, but f-ckin nevermind (play on words i guess, makes no sense)
I’ve been gone too long (from where?)
True or false, right or wrong
Hello Weezy, welcome home (no idea)
B.o.B - B.o.B vs Bobby Ray(Where Are You)
Whatever happened to Bobby Ray, he used to be here for us (saying how much he has changed since becoming famous in the recent years)
Then he got famous and left all of his fans in the dust (he disappeared and left all of his old fans in the dust)
We never hear from you, you’re constantly changing (saying that his old friends/family can't keep up with him because his life is changing too fast)
And your relatives always miss you at family occasions (saying how he left his family behind to become famous)
And your mother misses you too (saying how his mother misses him, which is true)
Since all the fortune you’ve been too busy recording (he has got caught up in the fast lane, and is missing all the important things in his life)
Now she feels unimportant and your daddy’s been going through it
Since he lost his mother
The least you could do is call him and show him, you support him (again, events that he has missed due to his recent rise to fame)
I never thought you would sell out (referring to his shows/concerts and the fact that he chose money and fame over family)
You’re becoming so cocky (the way money changes you)
I asked you for a picture after your show
You walked right by me, I’m like (how people who he used to talk with are nothing any more but another fan)
Aint this the dude that said that it aint about the price tag (saying how money and fame ate away at his values)
Now on your records all that you do is brag (again, the way money changes you)
Come on Bob, I thought you was better than that dog (disappointment from friends/family/relatives)
What happened to Cloud 9 and Generation Lost (songs that he made prior to his huge rise to stardom, and how they have dissappeared)
You were my idol, just when I thought I give up on everything (saying how close his old fans were to abandoning him)
I heard you play this familiar melody (melody, melody, melody…) (he made a comeback and started paying more attention to the little things)
I heard you play this familiar melody (melody, melody, melody…)
(melody, melody, melody…)
If you look at any good rapper, its not about the metaphors they make, its about how they tell their stories.
Lil' Wayne literally throws things that sound good together to kid people to listen to him.
Artists like B.o.B, Lupe Fiasco, Dosage, Childish Gambino, and Kid Cudi(if you consider him a rapper, can be classified as a singer) talk about their life, how they have changed, how the past has affected them, and make sense and try to relate to people. Lil' Wayne just gets a catchy beat and some catchy metaphors.
Again, there is no comparison.
If you are looking for a good beat, then Wayne is your man.
If you are looking for a story that relates to the world, and how they view the world, B.o.B is your man.
NN to argue more, i have already clearly proved my point.
