I do love SSTB and IKSSE3 the best easily.

They kinda went down hill from there. Good Apollo 1 was pretty good, 2 had some decent tracks, but NWFT was not even written by coheed lyrically. Their sound changed dramatically in YOTBR for the worse.
His voice is now deteriorating from heavy smoking unfortunately. A lot of the acoustic stuff he does now is great, however.
But he can't live up to his vocals of the first 2 albums live at all. They play all those songs half step down and it quite frankly doesn't sound very good.

I think in Sentry The Defiant it was EXTREMELY noticeable that he's been smoking hardcore. :(

SSTB has my favorite songs on it.
IKSSE has the overall best songs, not one is on the meh side.
IV was the album that got me into Coheed, even though I loved Favor House before then.
NWFT was my most disliked hands down. Not many of the songs captivated me. :l
YOTBR was, imo, a breath of fresh air after NWFT. I loved it... but hated it the first couple of listens. ;o And the fact of the book actually going along with it, made it fucking godly. I cry on like every song from the album now.

I nerded out with all the comics books and the graphic novel, but never read the book. Honestly, some of YOTBR makes me cringe.
I really don't like Flame of Error or When Skeletons Live. Guns of Summer is meh as well. I do like some of that album though.
World of Lines, Far, Juggernaut and some others are enjoyable. I especially like what the acoustic rendition of Juggernaut.
Frankly, I think they need to move in a different direction from their latest album. They need to be a lot chiller to suit his voice.
All of the acoustic stuff he's done lately is great (The Smith's Cover, Juggernaut, April Come She Will etc.)

I'm looking for more IKSSE sound. Power in certain parts of the song. But if he wasn't smoking, I'd love an IKSSE sound.
I love love LOVE the new album imho. Hated it with a passion, then after three or more listens, I was like, WOW.
In The Flame Of Error is one of my favorite songs, as well as When Skeletons Live. I didn't find them amazing until I knew what they were about though. :x
nn spoilers.

The song for Batman? Listened to it once, and did not listen to it again.
Had nothing that captured me. :l

I feel like their songs shouldn't rely on the story to make them seem good. The musicianship should do that job.

Coheed is a comic book band, It is and always will be a concept band. When Claudio got the chance to write for one of his favorite villains and a legend in the comic book world he reveled at the chance. As a fan, seeing my favorite artist break down because his dream has come true and then hearing the song he creates as a result is more then any fan could ask for.

This song seems to be one of the most personal. It's so perfect for the batman/joker relationship it's astonishing, on top of that, it has the new sound of coheed that I love. I respect everything they have done, but Deranged is one of my favorites.

I'm not a fan of Super Heroes.
Even when playing Marvel Vs Capcom, I'm always on the Capcom side. lol.
So yah, I will eventually give it another try.
Just wasn't something I listened to and liked at that point in time.

You're right.
But I still enjoyed the music before reading all of the book. ;]
The story just made it's emotions come through more. ^_^

Least favorite... I can't really say.
I have a dislike for the idea of Welcome Home.
People like to say to me, oh I LOVE Coheed And Cambria.
"Oh really?" I ask, super excitedly, hoping for a new best friend. "What songs do you like?"
"Welcome Home"
"Go on."
"Oh, I just know that one, but it's really good!"
"Pssh."

Favorite songs:
Godsend Conspirator
33
Both Apollos
The Lost Shepherd
