i went through a long phase of this type of music
metal:
tool - this will be your favorite band
a perfect circle - same singer as tool, a bit lighter in genre though
sevendust - SO GOOD
deftones! - also really good
lacuna coil - mostly their comalies album, the rest is just gothic
hardcore bands:
enter shikari - good band, they incorporate a lot of synth to get a unique sound
la dispute - the vocals take a little while to get used to but when you do they are AMAZING
lamb of god - nuff said
refused - only know a few of their songs but they're nb
norma jean - ONLY BLESS THE MARTYR AND KISS THE CHILD (album)
