you gotta be kidding me if you think this wasnt a marketing scheme . not one ounce of me believes this was made out of love for the music . i could be wrong but i have a hard time believing it

You, and others forget that these people do this as a living....Whether musical artists "do it for the money" or not, ultimately, it's for the money.

no i did not forget that these people do it as a living. its a pretty damn nice living for people like korn, how could i not know that.

there's a difference between making music for a living with heart in it, than making music for simply money. you can be an established artist and do what you want, you may or may not become extremely successful but nonetheless you can still make a living out of making music, or you can be an "artist" who looks at market trends and or/ takes orders from their record company and the reality of it comes down to basically only money. theres a difference.

And then there's people who over analyze this without real evidence....the only evidence being direct quotes from artists themselves.

This sort of situation requires no 'evidence.' It's goddamn Korn we're talking about. Korn bit the dust loooooong ago, and collaborating with a bunch of pop electronic producers in an attempt to revive their career is not for the love of the sound, no matter how you look at it.

No.

It's truth if they said that themselves. Don't you think they miss touring? That they miss producing music whether it's good or not? The dubstep/electronic genre is rapidly growing, maybe they were like "cool, lets try it out"

Without quotes from the band themselves....You have nothing but assumptions.

They weren't like "cool, let's try it out." They were like "hey, maybe we can get away with saying we came up with these genres before they really even existed." Trying to have some well sorted out, factual argument about whether or not Korn is garbage is just... bad. I'm out, just typing out 'Korn' is giving me anxiety.

I'm not trying to support them. I don't like them.

You're still creating bogus assumptions. What supports an argument? Facts. Something that assumptions are NOT.

Did you take a Speech and Debate course at some point, and now think you rule at arguing? We're talking about music. Opinions. Emotions. Like it. Don't like it. I don't need to cite my references and dig for Korn quotes to confidently say that this is a desperate media stunt.
