I feel ya; it was a lot easier for me to buy vinyl when I was a young twenty-something and didn't have any responsibilities.

Availability was the main reason I'm deciding to handicap myself and learn on digital media. I don't want to be spending and arm and a leg, not to mention an eternity, hunting down sure-fire hits released on vinyl god knows when. After I do obtain said vinyl, I don't want it to get damaged or overplayed and lose its quality. It would seem a lot more convenient to be able to burn 320mbs tracks to a disc as often as my heart desires. This does not mean I don't prefer that warm analog sound over digital any day of the week

so with cdjs , im assuming nobody beatmatchs by ear they just read it digitally and adjust it ? or do ppl still beat match by ear for sake of not letting the machines take over

Of course they do, i use CDJ's with no other devices. 2 turntables, 1 mixer, 1 set of headphones is all I require. The only assistance offered is autocue.

and I also have 2 turntables and a mixer with Torq Timecode vinyls.
