Train of thought is the ONLY album worth buying. Download the odd songs from the others cuse they mostly suck. I love dream theatre, but only the live shows and that album.

train of thought is their most simplistic and one dimensional except for maybe falling into infinity which just straight up sucked lol.

this newest album is one that grows on you... on the whole it's very solid. outcry has one of the catchiest intros they've ever done and progresses into a huge track. breaking all illusions is a monster and leads onto a perfect ending to the album

every time i listen to it i like more and more. certainly it's better than bcasl

Train of thought is a good album but Images and Words / Scenes from a Memory / Six Degrees are musically better. the songs on ToT don't suite labrie's vocals either :/

Train of thought is the concrete foundation on which the band was built. They were tryin to impress(which they did) with that album, then anything after that lost much effort by the band and wasn't half as creative. How can u even say that those are musically better? Play an instrument or expand ur horizons to REALLY know what is "musically" better.

Uhh are you thinking of the same ToT that i am? When I think Train of Thought I think of their 2003 album that they wrote in 3 weeks. You sure you're not thinking of Images and Words, their 1992 album which made them famous and is regarded by most people as one of their best?

ps. i play guitar and have VERY broad music tastes. i just think you're getting a little confused

either that or you're a troll

Actually, ToT is their "heaviest" album, nothing musically better or worse than any of their other albums. You're an idiot and don't know shit, sorry.

On topic, no I haven't yet, but I'm going out soon to buy it ;) If it's better than BCSL then I'm hyped, because even though there were so many bad critics, I enjoyed the album (nothing compared to their older stuff though)
