French metal scene has really good stuff

& I'm gunna have to say that on average the most bad music comes from bands in the US. good bands here are rare as hell

Why wouldn't they?

Talent isn't dependent on location. There are good and bad artists everywhere. It's not like the country as a whole just comes together in a huge meeting and decides what to make.

but things like culture greatly influence music

As do economic situations

And alloted freedoms and liberties

And the amount of emphasis the government places in the arts

So yes the country you come from had a lot to do with your music

Countries have nothing to do with the quality of the music produced in them.

They have something to do with it - a band like Gojira for instance just cannot be explained lol.

techno actually has melodies and a structure lol.
dubstep = noise, shitty melody and full of noises called "a drop".

most of the great rock bands are from UK and USA. If you like death/black metal which is mainly from germany you will disagree.

USA is best for jazz/funk/rnb/disco/soul and lolrap

europe is best for shitty dance/transe

But most importantly, many of the greatest classical composers were from Austria/Germany/Russia/Italy.
