Classical music is still the reference for most of the musicians, and it's not surprising when you listen to this kind of masterpiece. A unachieved symphony by the romantic autor Gustav Malher. So tragical...

The three parts:

When I discovered Opeth, I was like "ZOMGWTFBBQ"... So much epic masterpieces where the brutality meets the delicacy, and of course virtuosity... Much more than usual metal bands, these guys have an open mind.

Two or three month ago, I had the opportunity to see one of the most famous jazzmen who came to flamenco: Al Di Meola. This was in a little club (Spirit of 66, Belgium, about 300 places for the audience), in an intimist ambiance with the virtuoso and one of his peer. Huge performance and incredible feeling on his acoustic guitar. Here, I post a classical piece from Astor Piazzola, usually played on accordion. This is a bit more jazzy and a bit less flamenco, but I think it's representative of the talent of this man.

A little band that I'll see at the 16th Graspop Metal Meeting, in a few days... Music of Kylesa is a bouncing mixture of stoner rock, metal, psychedelic rock... It's pretty funky and it can keep you in a good mood for the day. :) (for once, the music I post is not for depressive guys ^^)

A belgian band which have been very successful after the UEFA Euro 2000, when they played for its opening day. The band oscillate between pop, rock with some influences of trip-hop.
How I miss Geike Arnaert, the former singer (the one in this video)... =/

A great artist: Leila... I mean she really innovates in all domains she touches. Her music is disturbing, non-melodic sometimes, but still so harmonious... Wonderful!
Here with her sister Roya arab, well known for her contribution to the first album of the trip-hop band Archive.

A great belgian blues band today... Didn't found the tracks I'd like to find on youtube, but well this one is clearly nice too. Very energic blues most of the time, and sometimes, like here, a bit more melancolic. The band is amazing in live; if they come near your place, I strongly recommend you to see them => good evening for sure.
