Most power metal is too nerdy and ridiculous to really enjoy throughally.

If you learn more towards prog/power, you'll find great bands, like Kamelot, Seventh wonder, Circus maximus, etc.

Oh I disagree - Maiden are pioneers of Power Metal, without them, there would not be power metal as a genre.

I can take Manowar outa the discussion, but Iced Earth are power metal as fuck lol
