when i got into what was labeled glitch/glitchop in the early 2000's, it was stuff like Prefuse 73, edIT, some autchere, funkstorung, dabrye, and daedelus and was more interchangable with "IDM". the sound now is more like 90bpm dubstep, to me. not feelin it. a lot of it doesnt feel as natural and the sounds are really recycled and played out. had a friend that did a show on glitch.fm and he'd get some cool tunes here and there but never anything particularly jaw dropping...it really just felt like a repacking of bad dubstep for people who wanted to separate themselves from the dubstep scene. i might be hyper-critical or maybe ive just been exposed to the wrong glitch-hop artists (mimosa, stephen jacobs, love&light, glitch mob, ben samples, etc)
sorry to be negative
