Like ancient stuff.. Like music from Skyrim type of stuff. W/ vocals or w/o.

Any good bands you would recommend for this type?

Or even what would the Genre be called?

the genre can be covered by orchestral, epic classic/fantasy, and ambient orchestral

It's not excactly what you are looking for but Bo Hansson made an soundtrack to the first lord of the rings film that you should check out.

It's organ based music, really nice.

Ulver - Kveldssanger album. Easily blends in, without one song feeling like an odd one out.

I listened to some of the LOTR stuff. I liked some of it. Didn't listen to a lot of it though.

I can't beleive I forgot about Apocalyptica.. thx for reminding me lol
I've also checked out Blackmore's Night. I like them as well. Favorited quite a few of their songs on Youtube.

Checked out a few of the songs off "War of the Roses". I didn't catch any that really blew my mind. I'll check out the album you suggested later on today.

Did you listen to Bo Hanssons stuff? because that's very unlike music that come with the new films (his music is recorded in the 70's)

This was actually the first thing that came into my mind as well. Love that album.
It's much different than anything else Ulver's done, as far as I know.
