Yeah, a lot of people think his music is "depressing" but I disagree -- he was a brilliant songwriter and did an incredible job of portraying his life in his songs.

No doubt, really no way to tell who's responsible. Way I see it, both him and his girlfriend were looney and we'll probably never know. Thanks to you my co-worker and I will be playing Elliot Smith for the last few hours of work haha

Went ahead and snagged his discography last night. Gonna be a good day

The sad thing about Elliott is each album he came out with he got progressively better, critics agreed upon this, and after figure 8 came out many people were comparing him to the Beatles and other great bands because his songwriting was so damn amazing. If I had to pick a favorite album it would probably be XO or Figure 8.
