Who got the new albums?

Machine Head - Unto The Locust

We were promised The Blackening 2, we got half of it - and the rest is Supercharger Not greatly impressed, 2nd half of the album annoys me, gonna need to hear the album 10 times before I like it me thinks.

True, but tbh The Blackening was so far beyond the rest of their material, it was one of the highlights of the 2000-2010 era.

Ok, didn't listen to it yesterday - listened again today and I am FAR more impressed than I was before.

1st 2nd 3rd songs are really bloody good. Recommended for the first half certainly.

Unfortunately, Sebastian Bachs album was mostly cock - but had 2 good songs!

Imperium was a great song, Spine was a great song, Vim was a great song, Old was a great song, Ten Ton Hammer was a great song

im not arguing that as an album that was their best

but they have made soem great music before then too

Great music on shit albums - lets be honest here. Supercharger sucked, pretty much all the way through. Through the Ashes was MUCH better - but still had about 40% bad stuff on there.
Blackening was where Machine Head really put together the good parts of their albums and came out with something epic - but this album hasn't achieved the same level of awesome.

Don't get me wrong, I am a Machine Fuckin Head fan - and love seeing them live. But I won't bullshit myself about some of their material lol

blackening was their best cd im not arguing with you on that, but they definetly had some great stuff on their older albums as well,
except for Burning Red i just pretend that album never happened
supercharger wasnt that bad but it was def their 2nd worst

as far as best to worst albums tho Burn My Eyes and Unto The Locust could flip flop places depending on my mood

I wouldn't say Locust is a worst album.... It needs more listens, it's growing on me big time.

You seen them Live? They destroyed me twice at Download fest, and once at Sonisphere. That was the most dangerous time that i've seen them lol - was standing there enjoying the intro to Aesthetics of Hate, then when that riff kicked in - the crowd just exploded and I lost my bag with the munch, an umbrella and blanket, and barely pulled my gf outa the destruction lol xD Badass times.
