In the chorus you can hear the voice sample of old school hip hop king Rakim repeat the words "new york state of mind" in a smooth tone. i know that DJ premier, who produced alot of Nas's tracks includeing NY state of mind took that voice sample from one of Rakims very own songs, because ive herd the song before. but what was the name of that song by Rakim where he said the words "im in a New York state of mind"?
