You can easily get a used 40'' or 42'' Samsung for $600-$700 that still has a warranty on it. I got a 40'' Samsung LCD for $700 that was 2 months old, and had most of the warranty left still. A month later I found a 3 month old Samsung 42'' plasma for $650.
