Hey guys.

I was wondering if you guys knew that if, in the USA, it is illegal to download music/movies/tv shows and keep it for yourself only.

I know sharing it online and in person is illegal. I'm talking about just downloading it and it just using it for personal use.

of course its illegal. didnt you ever hear about the mass ppl getting fined mass amounts of money for d/ling music on the internet?

ive only seen lawsuits where the person was also sharing it

downloading isn't illegal
uploading/sharing/violating copyright laws = illegal

Downloading illegally uploaded shit is also illegal you retard...Thats like saying your neighbor who sees your car each days buys it from a hoodlum who stole it from your driveway and parks it in his and then claims he didn't know it is illegal to receive stolen goods.

they dont go after downloaders they only go after uploaders.


Ive downloaded music/movies/games off the net for 8 years. ive never even got a message about downloading, however one time I uploaded a torrent of a game to the pirate bay, and I got an email from my ISP about copyright infringement...

theres no point catching the downloaders, its alot harder and doesnt get anywhere
