Ok, how many people actually like "the happening". If you did I don't really want you opinion lol. Anyone who tries to make a scary movie out of trees has something wrong with them. Im looking for some hardcore horror movie suggestions.

I would have to suggest that you stick to the classics. New horror movies are generally terrible, and it's sad. I will say though that I have high hopes of Quarantine, I hope that it's at least slightly suspenseful.

Some of my favorites though are Psycho, The Birds (this ones more comedy for me though...), and umm... I dunno, it's seriously hard for me to recommend 'scary' movies cause they don't really scare me.

The only thing I can say is stick to the classics. biggrin.gif

Totally agree that scary movies dont really scare me. The classics are all good, like child's play....even though it was about a doll that killed, it was still scarrier than most "horrific demon killing monsters" in todays movie plots with a pathetic cast. Ill have to check out Quarantine, havnt heard of it. Thnx

Quarantine is in theaters right now, in america at least. I don't know if it will be any good. But it's not like it can be worse than The Happening. ugh, bad.

About Quarantine, I actually recommend the original Spanish movie that it was based on, called Rec.

It's one of the better horror movies to come out in recent years, and I'm pissed about the remake. They're just going to Hollywood-ize everything about it.

good horror (i don't watch remakes, so if i name a movie, it's the original):

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
The Omen
Night of the Living Dead
The Hills Have Eyes
Ichi The Killer
Ju-On
Marebito
Audition
Irreversible (not really horror, but man, did it fuck me up)
Tetsuo: the Iron Man

Horror is still amazing.. In france haha.. Seriously, european horror films now are what american horror films SHOULD be. They don't remake every japanese horror film they can find, and try to butcher it into a pg-13 rating. There are movies about freaking inbred villages, kidnapping and murdering people. They're insane x-x. You should watch the movie ' Inside ', and ' Let the right one in ' if you're looking for something good.
