If action means fighting games then i would buy a ps3 but the xbox has never been a strong fighting game console. I would personally look at this article it will show what is the better value in the long run. This an article from someone who is actually in the business of making games and developing. as for my answer i choose xbox 360 because i have used both and the xbox just out does the ps3 IMO.
