Star Wars is awesome
All the films are great, people who say otherwise either have trouble being objective or aren't imaginative/intelligent enough to appreciate good sci-fi
If you don't enjoy the original trilogy you're probably too young and started on the new films. Then found it hard to adjust to the action/graphics of the old one, or just can't appreciate the added subtlety at the expense of modern filming techniques
If you don't like the new trilogy you were probably around when the originals came out or were brought up on them as a kid. Mostly the problem here is people remembering the films with rose tinted glasses
Most of the problems people complain about were also there in the original trilogy, bad acting/writing, cheesy dialogue etc but no-one cared because the films were awesome experiences showing exciting events/locations (just like the new films)
PS: new hope went from my least favourite film to my favourite upon the most recent viewing lol
