I just started the animated series and its pretty good. The portrayal of Anakin is 100x better than the whiny bitch he was in the movies. No offense to Hayden Christenson or anything but he was a bad call imo.

I don't think so, episodes 4 and 5 are both pretty good movies. Maybe a tad overrated, they aren't exactly masterpieces but they're fun.

Adding to the latest of Star Wars news, Disney released an extended look at new Lucasfilm animated series “Star Wars Rebels” at WonderCon on Saturday, showcasing the rebel crew’s pilot Hera.

The nearly one-minute clip shows Hera, voiced by Vanessa Marshall who opens the video, flying a starship against two TIE fighters. It also features Chopper, and viewers get to see how the two interact with each other. Both are newcomers to the franchise.

The new animated series takes place in between “Star Wars: Episode II — Revenge of the Sith” and “Star Wars: Episode — Episode VI: A New Hope.” It also features Steve Blum as Zeb, Tiya Sircar as weapons expert Sabine, Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kannan and Taylor Gray as young con artist Ezra. Series follows a motley crew of rebel fighters as they struggle against the Empire.

Disney released the clip as part of the show’s panel at WonderCon, where they also revealed that “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” composer Kevin Kiner would be returning for “Rebels.”

“Star Wars Rebels” will makes its hour-long debut on the Disney Channel in the fall. After that, it will have its run as a series on Disney XD.

It's just their way to make money. They're banking on the reputation Star Wars already has.

To appreciate it you really have to look at it in context and understand in the history of cinema.

before Star Wars there was nothing like it - and it changed forever the what we expect from a movie.

Ever since then - every Blockbuster is trying to emulate their success by making more + bigger special effects

But it was and always will be the heart of the story that captures anyone.

They're Ok, but I've never seen what was so special about the original trilogy that would spawn this insane following.

I much, much prefer star trek
