no, it won't out last either system.
sony makes a 7 year commitment to continue making new games for each of its system a minimum of 7 years.
a computer built 7 years (even 3 years) ago cannnot play the most current pc games of today.
yea the base components of the pc will be there, but you will need numerous upgrades b/c computer tech is ALWAYS outdating iteself.

I would say neither too, but if I had to pick one I'd get the Xbox 360 (seems like it has more games and is just better all round)
