In development, I think. Look at blizzard's job postings. They have everything listed except for something like "Top Secret Project." So let's check down their series:
Starcraft
Warcraft
Diablo
Let's see what they've updated?
Starcraft has Starcraft 2 coming out, so that wouldn't be secret (either Starcraft or Starcraft 2).
Any WoW thing would be listed under the WoW section.
Warcraft itself has been updated way more than Diablo has.
So that really leaves two (and a half) options:
A) New Game
B.) Updating Diablo (new expansion/ d3?)
C) Updating Warcraft (highly unlikely. there's diablo I, diablo II, diablo lod. theres warcraft I, II, III [with two versions for three]. much more likely to upgrade diablo series)
Not to mention, WoW is getting another expansion already. They've released a lot of info. about it, so chances are they still have something else up their sleeves. What business just sits on profit? Blizzard has always been known to push the envelope, and Diablo Online would do that. It would bring heaven and hell to everyone's doorsteps worldwide. The hardcore players would really turn their heads, while the ones already wooed by WoW would be left to ponder which game they'd be paying for. Another MMO assures Blizzard of more, continued profits, to continue making games and everyone happy.
