Ipods are designed to break after a year or two if you dont treat them like you would a 2 week year old baby.. because apple was going bank rupt and they needed something to make quick money

zune will last you. i personally like ipods more but zune will last longer + take more abuse.

ipod + rockbox + better headphones than the shitty stock ones

scroll wheel is sex, it's better looking and better designed imo

and to those of you bitching about itunes...

guess what?

ditch it!

winamp supports ipods = win.

The prices on Zunes are sooo much better than on iPods. My cousin got his for $80 and it's 30 gb. iPod's are extremely overrated. All Apple products suck. Zunes software is much more user-friendly, and the scroll button on the iPod sucks balls.

Bigger screens
Same prices
MADE FOR WINDOWS *No lag outs*
Store doesn't sell *Zune Only* stuff ( Like apple does)
More accepting (Movies can be MP4, WMV, or some others)
Much easier scrolling
Better headphones (Inner ear as opposed to the awful buds, and the cords are like nylon = not likely to break)

Ipods:
Too common.
