Lil wayne sounds like a raspy gremlin trapped in a toilet. Besides that, his lyrical content is laughable..
Rofl, I think that the best rapper alive if there is any reasonable distinguishing to be done we'd have to take a trip way back....WAY BACK, to New York in the early 80s where a young kid named "Rakim" was just beginning to MC. He had the flow, the rhymes, the graffiti, the mc style, and best of all he MADE SENSE. People are still sampling his songs, Big Pun, Jay-Z , all kinds of rappers take their punch lines and even samples from this guy who literally is the KING of rhyming. If you don't believe me listen very closely to the lyrics in this song called "Follow the Leader"
tell me if there is any lyrical content that even comes close to this in our modern hip-hop
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZ-rEpM6OhQAlso, Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" was a framework for rap songs for years, and it has INSANE lyrical content...
Lil Wayne being the best rapper is like saying that Bush is the best president cause he consistently fails every time he opens his mouth.
EDIT: Rakim is still releasing albums, one is due to drop soon if it hasn't already...Check it out!
