A very very poor poll indead. Only 1 of the listed (guess who) can really be called a rapper... and even he's career has been on a long lasting decline. And even he was never considered the best. So if the only prerequisite is "alive" and not active or whatever, there's really only one logical answer: Rakim Allah. Out of the active ones, it's really hard to choose, but my favourite in the past couple of years has got to be MF DOOM.
