actually more variety means it's more interesting and there are a lot more possibilities. if anything, more pokemon and more attacks to go with them means it's more fun than before. after battling in the emerald/sapphire/ruby days today I couldn't think how bad pvp was back in red/blue/yellow

Nah, the movies aren't that bad. The first movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back was pretty damn good for its time.
