I run my own plex server to stream my music and other media content to pretty much any device I want, when I want.

I used Spotify for a long time then switched to Apple Music because it was free with my cell phone plan.

I've come to prefer apple music for several reasons including the easy ability to share songs with people, the "Play next" feature, the easy library management, and the ability to easily "Start Radio" from a song I come across that I like.

It's much easier to log in to new devices like PC or Tablet and have my library instantly accessible. This and all the features I mentioned are probably also available with spotify.

One reason I would choose Spoitfy over apple is this strange quirk where apple will not crossfade songs on a phone, it does however do crossfading on computers.

Fuckin' annoying I liked crossfading so there's no gap between songs.

I'm so used to apple music it's just what I use. I probably prefer Spotify but at the end of the day I don't hold a strong opinion one way or the other. I can use anything and make it work.

Apple music sounds better in the car / airpods than spotify … it has a lot of bugs tho… but i choose it

Tidal has highest quality for me.

Just download all songs you are likely to listen. It takes like a few mins. No need for Spotify or apple

If your going to pay, I have found that YouTube Music works good. I'm an Android person, so it was natural for me to use it. My daughter, iPhone User, also uses it, prefers it to Apple as well. When you pay for the music, you also get YouTube premium, so no more adds and other benefits on that also.

I also often use a free Spotify account, it brings more convenience
