ive never tried the pioneers, so i dont know how they compare, but if you have em already you might as use em. they seem to have good reviews, at a glance, so the audio technicas may or may not be a step up. either way, if you got em or can fix em, you might as well.

these ones r a bit more expensive i got mine for 115(white audio technica)u gotta wait for them to go down in price i waited a day and a half for them 2 get that cheap

New sennheiser 280s or used 380s. Either can be had for $100 and they're both quite good.
