Dookie was pretty good, the rest of their work is pretty mediocre imo, although some of the songs in American Idiot are ok.

I've never seen a band such as Green Day try so hard to convince themselves and the whole world that they are a punk band when they really aren't. Dookie was pretty good. Everything after American Idiot is shit.

Insomniac was actually their swansong. I'd say about '92-'96 was the time period for Green Day.
