That's actually the first song I heard by Deltron. It's raw, that's for sure.

Who are you to say what is and isn't "real" hip-hop?

Sorry to break it to you, but just because you listen to underground, it doesn't make what you listen to "real"

It all goes into the same category. Cam'ron, Lil Scrappy, Supastition, Young Jeezy, Rakim and Ras Kass, It's all rap. It's all hip-hop.

toodles

I won't lie to you. 99.9 percent of mainstream rap DOES suck. And coming from a rap fan, that's saying something. It's people like 50 Cent who are promoting stereotypes of rap-talkin' all that shit about hoes, money, drugs and takin' people to the candy shop. They're ruining a great music genre.

No.

Rap has always been about those subjects.

Even "legends" rapped about the same shit. That goes for Rakim, The Notorious B.I.G, Pac, and half of your list (Tech Nine/MOP/Onyx/Non Phixion)

Look at OB4CL. The album is a classic and it's about two guys coming up in the crack game.

Stop being such a backpacker.

Just because Aesop uses big words doesnt make him lyrical... and btw you sound like a underground elitist

Example here -

"Stop running bases with little bears under the wing of punchdrunk butter makers
that engine sputters while the hound dogs wire cutter mechanical rabbit ran away
puppies aint rabid enough to snatch him
Pockmark ninety Moses, approach with a golden focal point
Come soak in it, resume sturdy composer soldier bliss"

Just because you can't understand what the big words mean, and how he uses them, doesn't mean he isn't lyrical.

I didnt say I couldnt understand it you backpacker... seriously you think the lyrics above are good? Bad rhyme scheme it doesn't even rhyme and Whatever point he's trying to make is lost among the abundance to references to unrelated things.
