Sir Phillip Anthony Hopkins won an Oscar for his portrayal of Hannibal Lecter in the Silence of the Lambs. He had around a total of 16 minutes on screen. He was that damn awesome.
Jigsaw kidnaps people and pretty much has them go through mazes with booby traps. Hannibal will feed you your own fucking brain!
If it is a battle of wits then Hannibal has got that won. He is a fucking genius, a modern renaissance man and master of many field (music, culinary, medical, forensics, psychology, art).He can get at your deepest darkest fears.
He can still fuck people up though while Jigsaw soils himself in a bed.
He is also the #1 villain on the American Film Institute's top 100. Jigsaw doesn't even make the list.
Vote for the villain with class, with substance, one who can stand the test of time.
The line "I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti" will stand out to anyone that you tell it to. Jigsaw has nothing anywhere near as memorable. You know why? Because he is a lame villain that relies on cheap suspense and gore.
