Names aren't ever worth much these days anymore.

Plus Tera will die in 2-3 months significantly.

People will realize how broken the combat system is and quit. The fact that you can jump in any water or run to any town completely defeats world pvp, along with the fact that combat isn't smooth as you lose any control of your character during animations is just meh.

It will have its hardcore fanbase but won't thrive to the point where a name is worth much.

Well that's depressing.

Thanks for your input though!

More than 3 months imo, but I agree to some extent

I think it'll last longer than that, but we'll see. The combat system is fine, there's nothing broken about it lol. You have to actually aim in the direction you want to hit and its only realistic that you can't really do anything during animations. How would it make any sense if you could do other stuff in the middle of a swing or after you cast a spell? Certain things like charging skills, you can end up canceling, but I haven't really had a problem with animations. Some animations are slower than others, sure, but you have to adjust and play accordingly. Tera is a game where people have to actually use some skill and thought rather than mindlessly spamming skills while using your gear ratings to do the work for you.

It's kind of a niche game, but I think it has a lot of potential. EME has done a pretty good job so far and they have the power to make whatever changes they think will improve the game and seem to listen to their player base. Their customer support is really good and imo its too early to make assumptions.

@Bramsey89: I don't think names will be worth that much unless the game gets a bigger following on d2jsp and/or its on Valley of Titans (which I believe is the server most d2jspers are playing on). Also, http://imgur.com/Whb1t hi5

It's a great game, which has a good potential if it could get more support.

have you pvpd in tera? gear is the most important thing in the game. Aiming is minimal because of how much people slow down once in combat and every attack having a large aoe to it. The only skill that comes into play with the tera combat system is being able to time dodges and invuln frames, which isnt your skills being tested, its whoever your shooting at and ultimately puts it on the same level as guild wars 2.
