yeah that grind is time consuming

Its not that bad honestly. Kind of depends which class you're playing, how efficiently you're questing (doing all the quests at each outpost, if you have a party, etc) and how much time you're putting into it. I started a lancer alt yesterday and got him to lvl 22 so far.

tera sure isn't grindy >until< you hit 60. then it's rep grind in the form of dailies & old fashioned mob grind for valsekyr hunt. which is still really not that grindy; maybe ~8-10h of nonstop grind & you'll have your 8k rep.
by just doing quests and not being a dumbass enchanting shit you'll outgrow in 2 levels, you'll end up with ~6k by 60. the welfare golds the game gives you are worth using.

idk about gold. gold's incredibly easy to get & not much use outside of enchanting. not enough of the server's reliably geared to consistently run HMs atm.
i have ~22k atm, full +7'd armor set, but no weapon yet.. so it's just stockpiling gold until one drops or gets thrown up on the AH.

spellbinds're pretty fucking stupid. 196g for a T12 bind, the bind isn't permanent. Got 2 mods you wanna save? pay another 196g.
so ~400g to save 2 mods per reroll. spamming 5.5g scroll sets the old fashioned way is still much more efficient.

the interesting part i found was that you can now reroll stats on enchanted items. that is, if it's already +'d, you can enig/id reroll it without losing the +6 like you would previously.

This is good to know thank you for putting that in. In the sense of grind this game isn't all that bad for it. It may seem like it at times if your a priest or mystic, other than that it moves along quite nicely. As for the gold, there are so many money sinks in this game that will have you spending. (ex. enchanting, re-reolling items, remodeling gear, etc)
