That's because you CAN'T move while shooting or swinging a weapon realistically. I mean, you could move, but you would never hit your target.
Oh noes, realism in MY combat system?
Okay gateguy, let us address your argument for a minute here.
Your claim is that you can not move while shooting or swinging a weapon (realistically) because you would never hit your target.
Realistically speaking (that means in the real world, don't want to get you lost in TERA's realistic gaming environment here), you can indeed physically swing a weapon and shoot a projectile whilst in motion and NOT miss. (Hard to believe, I know).
In fact, I am fairly certain that since the inception of blunt weapons to today, we still swing melee weapons whilst in motion, and not whilst standing still. Same applies to a ranged weapon, though to a somewhat lesser-extent.
Let us also address the use of realism in a game. You are praising TERA for being "real", or at least being "real" in the combat system.
Well, I don't know about you, but I'm fairly certain that we, the homo sapiens, can not hurl fireballs out of thin air, teleport across great lengths at ones whim, summon minions from some other world to do your bidding, and.. well you get the idea (I hope). That, my friend, is not a realistic combat system.. at all.
But I must apologize, I did not take into consideration while composing this refutation that you could possibly be suffering from hallucinations or some other symptom(s) of some obscure illness that ruins the perception of reality.
