please lmk how it runs for you, and post more hi res screenies!

High res textures will never trully affect tour performance very much.

Depending on the engine they arw generally streamed through you hdd, ram, or vram.

Realistically, you might see a 2% performance change.

As i have told you before, game runs on ue3 engine, not all that hard to run.

UE3 is still a sexy looking engine, just old so older hardware should be able to run this game.

Its just a well optimized engine. It basically powered this console generation, and its cheap for devs to license since it is getting dated.

It is missing a lot of high end bells and whistles that you would see on cry3, frostbyte 2, or even red engine though.
And if you look closely its actually not that great, the art style is just really good.

Shouldn't our screenshots from the JP version be with hi res textures grief?

If so, you can go back to some of the earlier pages abstract and see some screens from myself and grief of what hi res Tera looks like.

To the person asking if it's a buy or not, it definitely is. The combat is simply awesome. If you enjoy fun, skills based combat that flows very well then you will enjoy Tera. Graphically, Tera looks awesome. It is a very gorgeous game and runs very smoothly. I will admit that the quests are a bit weak in my opinion, however that isn't a huge drawback to me since I'm more interested in dungeons and endgame pvp and endgame dungeons and hopefully soon to be raids. It is a great game. I have played wow for 5-6 years and on my personal opinion Tera beats wow hands down. I told grief I would rather sub to JP Tera even nit being able to read a single thing in game over subbing to wow again. I actually almost subbed subbed to the Korean version. It is just that good. I played it through level 28 in the JP version and had a blast. I cannot wait for US release. Definitely a buy.

Also abstract, performance wise, I have a 2500k at 4.6 ghz and dual 6870s in crossfire and run the game perfectly. I didn't have fraps running or anything to show fps, but I never hit any lag or performance drops even within the main city when it was full of people. I'm assuming I never dropped below 60 fps. Like I said, even in the most populated areas I never saw any performance drops so you should run it perfectly as well.

Yes they should be the high res textures in the jp version...assuming we had them on in the options, which i believe it was.

Keep in mind that AA wasnt working in game, i eventually forced it through ncp so the first screens are a little jaggy.

Pretty sure I had AA maxed in all my screens. I remembered forcing it when I started playing because I remember you talking about it in the forums.

The last picture bears a strong resemblance of the guy who bashed me a few days ago.

a few friends have also laughed at this.

my nostromo arrived, been practicing with fps (tf2) because a tab target mmo will not work the same as tera with it.

Also i need to say... it is good, but not perfect, i need to elongate the spacebar default to make it longer my thumb goes right off it. And I need to get a rubber cover for the joystick, it is hard plastic and slippy.

but other than that I love it.

Apparently leveling in NA is getting a revamp, possibly the other versions as well I am unsure.

It will not be much different in questing per-ce, nothing that large, but mobs will be more aggressive and overall tougher. I am also unsure if this just applies to regular mobs or not.
