"The Press" is the equivalent to your basic 4hour a week gamer, basically horribles that good players faceroll with their eyes closed. The press event was basically just a PR move, although who knows if it was worth unveiling what they had or not, Ive read more negative feedback than positive, but maybe I just play with cynical gamers >D
And no rage here, gate, I just know a rand when I see it. Of course they have over a million followers, do you know how many people go out and spend 50 bucks on every knew mmo that comes out and quit a month later because the game wasnt what they expected? Ii've played MMO's long enough to know that more players do it than players who don't do it. Another reason its such a huge hit is because its F2P, and with F2P games comes F2P players.
Thats not really true at all.
Most of the press are highly critical and can provide insight/analysis the average gamer cant. Most gamers cant even understand the basic concepts behind game design, or game engines etc. Hence why you get people saying "Lol dese grafix bad yo" and "lol dis game much betar grafix" when objectively the first actually had much 'better' graphics. aka. your subjective opinion as a gamer isnt always worthwhile.
Furthermore, it wasnt jsut press. They invited some top guilds and such from other games. And in previous events/shows they invited top pvp guilds from gw1 etc to try the game.
Gw2 isnt F2P. Atleast learn basic terminology before spouting your 'gospel'.
