naaa it will be pointless, with GW2 and D3 coming out tera wont be that popular and i bet you it will end up going to F2P like most of the other P2P games end up doing

one of the servers was maxed out within 4 hours of early character creation. Not popular at all.

That's your opinion. D3 isn't even launching with pvp and even one of their devs/reps? told people to not get too hyped up about it so that's kind of telling me that it won't be that amazing. Tera will be imo one of the better open world pvp MMOs for a while and they have a pretty cool political system similar to what Lineage 2 had. EnMasse has fantastic customer support and they seem to actually want to make this game great for the Western audience (they've made numerous changes for NA Tera from Korean Tera).

I doubt the game will go free to play. But, it's just not a game that is going to be overly successful in the current market, and especially in the western market. Not after how 'average' it did in Korea. And it's been losing players every month. It will probably maintain a very niche playerbase like FFXI or FFXIV.

as for the success of the game, it really rests solely on enmasse. If they continue to have a positive relationship with their fanbase, fix problems quickly and continue to adjust the game for a western markett, they will do alright. If they rely on the korean developers for content, well the game is already dead in teh water then just like the korean version.

In no time/the usual stated "6 months til f2p"? No I can't because I can't really think of any. Maybe lego universe but come the fuck on with that one.

They will do fine and the korean version failed because its a westernized game to start with for the east lol. En masse has already made new content in practically no time to show they are up for the challenge. *points at new prologue* Is that content the most awesome thing ever? No, but is it what players asked for and pretty damn quick? Pretty much.

Tera isn't launching with battlegrounds implemented and somehow i seriously doubt a Blizzard dev said not to get hyped
