A great example is comparing (one aspect) of the Switzerland schooling system to our own. If you live in central Switzerland, you are taught to become fluent in four languages by the time you're 18. In America, how many people do you know that are native American English speakers that are fluent in two languages?
I agee our school system is horrible. I wasnt trying to imply it wasnt.
Sweeden is kind of a tough example though. My roommate used to primarily date foreign girls, including a couple sweedes that lived with us, their country is split into 3 seperate areas each with its own official language. So if you dont know a certain language you are going to have trouble interacting within their own country.
