Several of my friends got beta keys for this weekend, so I won't be on alone. This weekend will be a good test of whether I will really want to play or not.

I think its fine for the most part. You will still have the hardcore people hitting max lvl cap within a week and the casuals will still probably take maybe a month to reach max cap. The real grind of the game shouldn't be leveling anyway and the faster people do level, the faster everyone can get to the fun parts of the game and hopefully pvp.
