You just put in a key in your current account, you'd keep your characters. You'd also get a mount for the box copy and a mount for the founder status, so 2 mounts. The first one not really being bound to you when you get it i think, So you could sell it for gold.

If you look at some of the older news on the tera main page it talks about it.

@ question you cannot buy box anymore iirc unless lucky.

wouldn't make much sense to spend money on shelf space when you can dl and upgrade and just pay 15$ a month..

The point of buying a retail box is so that I can get founder status

It makes total sense to buy i for founder status...

but you know it doesn't for the company.

They are heading into a stage of recession, pulling back all forms of unnecessary expenditures to maximize f2p profits. Game was a snail with content before, what will it be now?

Aka, they do not want to have to give money to walmart/bestbuy to house their product.

/e and i just got a 30 day forum suspension for bringing up some completely valid points about the elite status being p2w.

:D

The game is fun to play with friends, so all I want to do at the moment is buy founder status to bypass huge queue times

your only option is like what was stated. A warehouse retailer that has copies left.

The physical items other than the 80$ initial collectors edition only had in game items as rewards so not many people saw the need to buy a physical box.

amazon.ca only has online onl for the purchase so i do not think that would work.

amazon.com has physical copies it seems.

Well with it becoming F2P it makes the box obsolete. So rather then spending money to recall them, the founder status and box reward gives them some value.

Yeah this game has a lack of content but so did vanilla wow which is considered the best version by a large part of their community. The combat is unlike any other mmo i've played, and is worth a try for any fan of the genre.

Yeah I feel like the combat is a lot more skillful than other mmos such as WoW, where i was in a top end game raiding guild.

vanilla wow had out 5x as much content.

tera has almost been out 2 years and there is 1 raid, 1 bg, and 1 type of arena. 2-3 dungeons a gear tier.

November 23 2004 released.

January 9 2007 expansion.

2 years 2 months vanilla.

And I am not knocking the game in its entirety, the concept is there, nothing else is.
