I don't remember there ever being an official statement that it would be an open beta.

That's not indication of it being an open beta. Only that they're sending out more invites.

no, well.. It will be more like they did for SWTOR, with beta events, but I'm still looking very much forward to it :D

Oh yeah, no doubt. I'm mad excited for GW2.

I think with GW1 they had closed beta, but they opened it up on weekends.

Super secret video is super secret.

Enivorments look incredible. Art team did an amazing job. Models/textures amazingly detailed as well.
