Ive tried to mail them and hand them and both times my pet box is greyed out, also a few friends day the same thing.
J-unet send me 1 if you can im curious if maybe im glitched

I also can not send them via mailbox, but the only pets I have are from the darkening of tristram event (butcher and cow)

Mine are before the event and cant send them
