Looks like there is a confirmed glitch that people are using to duplicate keys. Here is an announcement from The Collector's Guild trading discord. (I tried to put an invite to the discord here but it's being filtered by the forums).

Due to the presence of a duplication glitch I have shut down the ⁠key-chat and would advise against accepting any keys until a patch is implemented
Do not ask about the dupe as no answers will be given and continued questions will be both reported to the devs and will result in a ban
Furthermore use of the dupe glitch appears to be relatively easy to track from a server side from what I can tell so the devs will have little issue banning the accounts abusing this glitch.

It is my personal opinion that until the dupe glitch is patched that trading items of mid-high quality or 1250g+ value may be too much of a risk as such I will not be trading until the patch is implemented I recommend that you do the same

I will be in contact with the devs to hopefully see how progress with the patch is and will keep you updated in ⁠announcements .

Surprised gold to FG prices didn't tank like the D4 economy when they started duping gold.

probably due to the lack of player interest in comparison. This has maybe a few hundred users, D4 has tens of thousands.

The storm has passed, the dupe was fixed and the majority of offenders have been banned.

I have confirmed this through multiple sources and will update if the devs personally confirm hut the number of wardens confirming it is enough for me.

Well dont I have egg on my face... I was contacted by the devs and they shed some light on what happened.

The dupe was only done by less than 10 people who were banned and no items from their inventories remain. This all happened before I received reports of dupes, around this time the devs patched the issue and everything should have been fine. Unfortunately a number of players who witnessed the dupe were unaware of this and posted info online. This spread yesterday until I recieved enough reports to make me consider it a valid threat.

I take responsibility for my part in all this, I should have been more thurough with my investigation and used more of my Warden contacts to verify the claims. I will be more cautious moving forward and hope you all forgive me for the disturbance.
