The reality is that no one stipulated a price because there is practically no demand or activity in the forum of this game, that price was set by you, you are interested because you have some items to sell but I do not think you have to go to the post of others to say what they have to accept and what not.

Compare to what gold costs online versus what for instance bnet or steam balance sells for in comparison to $$ vs fg value

where did you get this information from? in the game it is not possible to buy gold for real money, they are red stones and not even with those stones you can buy gold, so it is not comparable.

What lol? You can buy it on numerous sites. None that I can disclose here but a gold chest is around $27-$30, 10k gold is ~$8 but 100k is $38.

$100 steam is going for about 14-15k so for every $1 it’s 140fg.
Bags are like 8k or something, so a bag would cost roughly $7.
7x140 = 980, call it an even 1k would be a fair price for a bag in the current state of market.
As far as raw gold, 100fg per 1k is fair I suppose.
Just farm your own gold for now, is not worth it to buy gold this early in season as most people over value it.

because he wants it cheaper. Gold is easily worth about 100fg per 1k. nothing wrong with him or anyone else trying to get a deal. I made quite a bit of my FG from DND eariler seasons, usually hit demigod quit playing then let my gold/items rot. He isn't wrong IMO and you aren't either.
