i forgot to max my second pet when i fused them into an uncommon, so now my heal is maxed at 35.
do i have to start over again with a new pet?

the only reason its good to max a pet before fusing is because it's cheaper, not because you lose the ability to max it after fusion......

just read a few posts on another site, apparently you need to max both pets abilities before fusing, otherwise you wont reach the max cap after they are fused =/
looks like i have to kill this character and jump back on the fame train...

Thats not true, you lose the ability to max it fully by a few levels depending on where you fused it and its always been this way.

example if you look at the top pets in realm eye, you can see some are MAXED at 98-98 because they fused early. that 2 levels is not big but it could be big depending on what level you fused it.

To get the max level for the next tier you really only need to max the first ability on both. It is however ideal for you to fully max both abilities on your uncommons since the fame cost for feeding is still really low (30 fame/feed) compared to rare (100 fame/feed). Legendary is 350, and divine is 1k. You get the point. It may seem like a bitch to max both but your next tier rare pet will start off with it's first two abilities at 50/50.

ya, i just forgot to do it the first time.
i made another pet and already fused it, just need to finish lvling it through uncommon now.

then, if i still feel like it after it hits 50/50 ill farm more fame to push it into rare... maybe.
