so i was just wandering around killing whatever while training to lvl 20 and then i came across a hella big mob and it was fine for a second but then they all like froze in their tracks and started walking away from me slowly, and then all across the minimap there were hundreds of red dots zippin back and forth(all the meanwhile im almost blackwalled) i couldnt nexus, i couldnt pause or go to options tab to get to main menu, i was stuck..a minute goes by like this and then the screen just goes black and then goes sttraight to the char select screen where it shows my character died...is this normal lag? cause if so, what the hell is someone supposed to do to make sure theyre not getting owned when all i see is monsters running around not even attacking.

/e: not too mention i lost my archon which was my only good melee weapon

i've lagged like that before, but when it recovered i was fine, sorry to hear that =\

I would count that as string-lag, when you sync to the server. But this degree is more like a disconnect but your character is still there and got killed.
I try to refresh flash projector/browser if I get massive sting-lag during bosses or such. This is also one of the reasons I dont play the game any mone.
When you try to rush you suddenly hit a big black wall and you have to wait for the game to sync until you can go on.
You can counteract this by playing on server with better connection to you.

im so paranoid about dying when this happens to me i click the x button on the browser im playing rotmg on and completely exit the game(sounds nubish and u have to restart...but ur character lives)

Use adobe flash projector it will help reduce your lag and try turning graphics like guild join shadows and text bubbles
