Minor update - No pics sadly, just writing another book. Not at home so the usual update will come later.

There's a big difference between playing stupid, and playing dead stupid. Dead stupid is playing a warrior deep inside the tombs with your back against the wall as Nut charges at you and instead of moving to the side, you stand your ground thinking you can do so much damage that you dont need to run. That was my warrior about a week ago. Luckily for this thread, today I wasn't playing dead stupid. But still I missed out on what could have been my biggest drop ever, not just on this wizard.

I'm doing a few Hermit/Trench runs with my guild and the very last run before I go, a white bag drops. What was inside? Well, I'll never know. I do honestly believe it was the bow tho. I could be wrong and it could have just been an inc, which would still have been awesome. I've gotten plenty of white bags in the past from Thessal including 3 Incs in less than 20 minutes. I never once thought any of those would be the bow.

The reason why I believe it was the bow is the events leading up to the kill. Before we started killing the Hermit God, it said a scripted taunt I've never seen before. I've killed this thing over 100 times and never seen this taunt. Some random person in the realm mentioned they had never seen that before either. I didnt think much of it tho, could be new with the patch or something. We kill the Hermit and make our way through the trench as usual and kill Thessal. That sparkly white bag catches my eye but before I can go check it, Thessal is still there with her "Is King Alexander alive?" question. I'm thinking even better, bonus chance for loot. I run for cover and quickly try to type out "He lives and reigns and conquers the world." Before I make it halfway through that I realize not only am I at half health, my air is getting low, and one of the air protectors in the room is chasing me off. I run back to the previous room but at this point my air is completely gone and the last half of my life is dropping fast. I scramble around for a few seconds searching for that air pocket, but no luck. I'm forced to nexus and miss what could have been the bow, or at the very least an Inc.

A guildy actually typed the full answer out faster than I could, so I could have sat back, filled up my air and snagged all the loot worry free. If I was smart I would have done this even if I was alone instead of trying to be greedy and get even more loot. Still I'd take missing a white bag over dying any day.

Lesson of the day: Copy/paste the answer every time. If you forget or are too lazy(like me), at least play smart and back off to a safe spot. Being greedy isnt worth missing loot. And nothing is worth dying for.

Taken me up until yesterday to realize this. Lost almost all my characters through greed and I am almost certain it won't happen again. Keep up the thread, it's a good read :)

Gods. The area with the grey ground or snow covered ground is referred to as Godlands. Tons can be found here, but defense pots also drop off of various event gods as well. Check the wiki for more info
