Im leaning towards rogue because I have a planes walker and they give a 6% fame bonus. Then Id only need to get a dirk and Id be able to suicide with 22% well equiped. but then I feel like hunteress/archer would be easier to get the kills with but Ive still never found QoT/dbow/cbow to get the same % fame bonus :/

Huntress/Archer is a lot easier to fame farm, especially if you are soloing. If you are going for THAT much fame you should really consider going in euwest 2 fame train. Your fame per hour will triple.

seriously man you need to max your character... do you have an idea how fucking pissed you would be if you hit 10k+ base and died to a lag spike? Legends really isn't hard to obtain... anyone with patience can do it. I've gotten one character to 20k base fame (a priest nearly 2 1/2 years ago) without all the bonuses of course... but ended up selling the account for real money a year before kabam took over. I haven't been able to get a character over 2k base since I've made my new account... mainly because its fucking boring as shit and I don't have the time I use to. Good luck!

Btw, you can drink potions from your stack , they only count against thirsty if you drink out of your inventory. Also you can fully 8/8 a character and still maintain thirsty. Check the legends list (realm eye them) and you'll see that they had the bonuses while 8/8

Already covered most of that previously ;) I won't be soloing anything... Everything will be done in EUwest2 fame trains and I refuse to make an 8/8 with the sole purpose of suiciding it. I'm going to max def and spd that's all. The reason I haven't decided between archer and rogue is purely the UTs required for the highest well equipped bonus. I've never gotten QoT/dbow/cbow/dirk and so seeing as all of those are rare as hell I doubt very much that I'll get one before reaching the fame goal

Kabam added a safeguard a while ago where you cannot drink a potion if its corresponding stat is already maxed, and that is the real reason why you want to be 8/8 before you start to farm fame to get one of the top spots on the all-time legends. If you're not 8/8, there's a good possibility that you will at some point drink a potion by mistake which will ruin your Thirsty achievement.

Also, you should be aware that, assuming the fame train maintains high efficiency, you will average ~100 points of fame per hour which means you're looking at spending an absolute minimum of 400 hours on fame-farming to your goal of 40,000, and then an additional minimum of ~50 hours on getting all the achievements you listed, all of that's assuming that a) you're proficient at the game to the point of being able to play it with your eyes closed, and b) you're able to focus attention on a mind-numbing task for a very long time.

And believe me, when I say "mind-numbing" I'm using the term euphemistically. Prolonged fame farming is like working at the conveyor belt without the right to make as much as one mistake or else the gun that's pointed at your head - yeah, there's a loaded gun involved, didn't you know - will fire. You'll have to perform the same set of actions over and over in a near-comatose state for hundreds of hours, and you'll have to do that flawlessly - one mistake and it's all over.

Knowing all that, are you still ready to commit yourself and try to join the legends of the Realm? Are you ready for all the blood, sweat, and tears involved? Do you love the Realm more than you do your family and friends? Do you value it more than you value your sanity?

If you shouted "YES" after reading each of these questions, good luck! You will need it.

Bold part won't apply... Since I won't be firing after I have achieved the leader of men bonus, I won't be finding potions and thus won't have the opportunity to accidentally drink potions from my inventory. Besides when would I ever receive a dex, wis, vit, mana, or life pot participating in a game train? Answer is never ;)

I've run multiple fame heros the last month and will probably preserve my sanity by only doing it for a little while each day.

Ummmm yes and no... If I can pull it off I'll never have to worry about fame farming to feed my pets ever again! This will save me untold amounts of frustration and fg (currently a guildy is running them to work off a debt). Plus tell me you don't look at someone with a red glow and think "damn that guy is a badass"

Quite the contrary... I think "Damn that dude has absolutely no life at all to get that much fame for a red aura around his in-game avatar that can get taken away if someone (which there are people alive that have double the current leaderboard) dies"

Don't get me wrong, its an achievement... I just don't have the patience or the time to pull off something like that

I am usually in mumble with someone who has the Red Glow and people often call him admin...Because they don't know what it means.

God I wish is had those UTs I have the worst luck lol but seriously most of the people with higher base fame like that don't have the required bonuses to reach the alltime board. Even if they do it's a pretty small risk I think.. Even still at least I'll never run out of fame lol

You are going to invest hundreds of hours into this character, you may as well max it... You 8/8 characters anyways and they all eventually die to something... may as well do it and not risk the possibility of losing it. At the very least max your speed, defense, and life so your survivability is at its peak. The rest are kind of pointless if you are just running fame train. At the same time you want to be able to put out as much damage as possible to increase your fame farming speed if there aren't many good players running with you. It is your character do what you want, but you are going for a very time consuming achievement, may as well go all in on your character imho.

Oh, if they ever unsoulbound UTs I will give you a set for free. All I ask is you look out if you are ever well off or get something badass and make a shitload off of it throw me some FG :P

One last thing : If you make a huntress/archer or melee character dungeon UT's are a hell of a lot easier to get than world UTs like dirk or ray katana. The drop rate is nearly 10x for getting dungeon UTs as opposed to world UTs if I'm not mistaken
