Best character so far.
Luckily I didn't have great gear, but I did dump some SPD pots into him (just the ones I found).
Ended up finding quite a few DEF pots (traded five for a LIFE pot).
Will probably make a Priest again.
e: 2 fame away from three stars for a Priest...

This game is really simple but may be very frustrating if you don't save your resources for the right things.
Here's a few observation i made while playing this game. Some people may disagree with some of these but they did/do work for me.

Save all your pots and once you get 25 def pots, you max a farming class aka wizard/necro ( i never made a necro but ppl love them  ).
I think wizard and maybe necro is the only viable as a main class for someone who starts. You need a certain nuke power to get easy/safe soul bound while in big group.
Note that when you have enough wealth/experience, you don't need such a class as a main.

Everyone rip many times and its normal. Just make sure you never rip twice for the same reason!
Lag may happen but always blame yourself for a death. You can nexus or F5 if you think you're lagging.

Your nexus button is your best friend.
Never die for a loot bag.One item isn't worth the 50 + pots you drank.
Stay away from cube, skull, sphinx and tombs.
Sphinx is rather easy but you rarely get reward for the risk. For Cube/skull/tombs, you will have to rip a few maxed melee to get the hang of them ;)

Last thing may sound stupid but stay away from tops until you have 3-4 maxed character to fall back. They have minimal impact on your stats and could max your def on a new character if you die.

Going to address a few things as by my experience. Mind you; everyone has their own experience. Tapoo may view things differently than I and that's totally cool in my book. I just want to give a litle Yang to his Yin on some points. Numbers represent the bolded in the order they appear.

1) For the most part, yes. Early in your playing career, however, I wouldn't worry so much about potting a character. Instead, I would bank the pots by either selling them for fg or trading them up for a more valuable potion. This way, as you learn (and die) you will always have something to fall back on until you are comfortable with an investment character. Once you are ready for that, than do exactly as Tapoo has suggested.

2) I agree, except I would add Priest. While the DPS (damage per second) is seriously lacking on a Priest, they are generally reliable and that instant heal ability can teach you how to handle certain situations without having to impose increased risk.

3) True that. I rip like a hero from time to time. I've been an avid player now for a year. It's just part of it.

4) Absolutely. It takes 2 seconds to get back into a realm from nexusing, but it could take days and days to rebuild that much loved character.

5) For hard to get loot bags, I suggest contextual click and the readiness to bail right after the grab. Snag then nexus. But he's right. If it's too risky, let it go. There will be more.

6) Indeed. Wading into level 20 driven events can be seriously risky and you will rip learning the ropes. Best thing I can add to this is to check out some youtube videos so you can observe some of the behavior of the events. Once you're comfortable enough with the flow, then go deep my friend.
